OMG - A WEEK PASSES
and what have I done???
Well Graham was in London for a week and to "save" me from myself and to "save" the kids my Mum came and stayed for a week. Now before I go any further I have to say that I love my Mum to bits and I love to see her come visit but boy did I love to see her go home!! Why does she feel the need to "sort" things?? My clothes, my kids rooms, my craft room.... now that is just a no no!! I do appreciate what she does but when I can't find things in my own home - it just freaks me out no end!!! One thing I have to thank her hugely for and that is doing the ironing!!! The thing I hate most in the world and she did a huge pile for me and I am most greatful I really am. Now when she was here we did have fun... we walked the legs of both the puppy and the kids and me!! I really enjoyed the time out with the family and the dog... the weather has been fab and to get out into the fresh air was just wonderful. She "made" me buy some clothes for myself which I have not done for a long time... I felt so guilty buying for myself and had to ease my guilt by buying Drew clothes too... Mum was not impressed in the least but she accepted that she used to do the same.. lol... so darling Drew and I have a pile of new tops between us and the charity shop now has a huge black bag full of our old stuff. She also gave me a little sewing lesson on my new sewing machine that Graham bought me for mothers day. So I am doing well with the sewing machine... so many pieces of clothing that had been abandoned because repairs were required are now repaired and all nicely hanging back in wardrobes which is fab.
Friday night was fab... Graham arrived home after a very succesful time away. I hate it when he is away I feel as though my right arm has been torn out of it's socket. To have him home was just wonderful. Saturday was for me a very quiet day lazing on the couch and catching up on t.v progs that I had sky+ when mum was watching all her programmes.. Graham made dinner and cleaned up so it was just wonderful. Sunday I was up early at off to my craft club which I love going to.. such fun laughing and learning. Margaret is a star at teaching and Angela and her Mum are just so kind they really are. I love to visit the shop. Then after it was off home to change into walking clothes and Graham, Danny and I took the dog for a very long walk in the woods... we loved it and had a good giggle when we were out... we found a wonderful spot that overlooks our house and sat for a while gabbing and taking in the sun while the dog got it's breath back.. we need to remember she is just a baby! She was absolutely filthy and absolutely exhausted.. poor wee soul... need to remember to take camera next time though!! Back home for a great dinner and a night in front of the t.v... bliss.
This morning managed to get a lay in... the first in a while.. it was fab.. Graham was off to work and the boys and I (Drew is at her grandparents for the hols) tottered about having breakfast etc.. then I decided to do the upstairs of the house.. so that is all nice and clean and I took the boys for their haircuts... shaun next door came with us so popped them into maccy d's for lunch and that has been my day... think we are heading off to the beach with the dog when graham comes in so off to get on my walking shoes again. No pics at the mo as still cannot find my charger but fingers crossed graham knows where it is.
Watch out for a fab new blog header coming up sometime especially for me by the wonderful and clever Linda
Hope you and are well and enjoying this wonderful weather
Take care
Heather
