DISNEYLAND PARIS

Well we are home... almost safe but we are home. Where oh where do I begin.... only happens to me I mean it... I am destined to stay at home..

My sweet little chic Drew lasted 5 minutes in the hotel before she fell down a set of stairs... she had burst open her lip in three places and could not stand up.. every time we tried to get her to stand to get her into a chair her legs just gave way.....the day from hell started and just never seemed to end. We were attended to by a Fireman who was in the hotel, his english excellent luckily, says Drew has to go to hospital as she was bleeding so badly from her mouth and was blue, tried to explain that when drew cries she turns blue, no avial.. he promptly left us and rang an ambulance.. two lovely paramedics arrived to say again it was to be hospital for my little chic.. so off we go to hospital.. OMG how lucky are we to have our wonderful NHS... we were left in a corridor for 4 and a half hours Drew in a bed and me standing at the side of her... not a chair to be seen, her terrified and me just exhausted and distraught beyond belief... we were then taken by a male doctor into a tiny disgusting filthy little room and they said they were going to give drew gas and stitch her lip... I informed them that she cannot have gas as she has a severe reaction to it... he then muttered something about silly english people!! I asked him what he was going to use to anethetise her... he then forgot all his english at that point and left the room.. brought a nurse in with him and proceeded to attempt to hold her down at which point I started to lose it with them... they were going to try and stitch her without anything.... they left the room when I stopped them with the male doctor remembering his english at this point saying he could not work like this!!! We waited another two hours with Drew to the point of hysteria and me at the end of my tether. Another man came into the room and said that he would give drew a sedative to calm her and another tablet to numb her... appeased a little I trusted this man... then the nurse and doctor from before came in... I was asked to leave the room for a moment at which I refused.. I was then escorted out of the room by the new doctor and they locked the door... the screams from behind the door will live with me till the day I die... then the door opened and I ran in and the doctor said to me "all done"!!! they had actually given her two paracetamol and held her down.. even now after we are home two days she has the bruises on her arms where they held her down... I was beyond caring what they wanted me to fill in I ran from that hospital with my daughter in my arms(now that was hard work as she is as tall as me) and jumped into a taxi...My darling little girl has to attend our own doctors today as she is still not walking properly and has to get her stitches out... now that I am not looking forward to as she is so traumatised by what happened that I don't know how I will even manage to get her into the surgery never mind let the nurse see her!! I have phoned the docs and explained all that happened and they were wonderful and said that they will do all they can to examine her back etc and take her stitches out kindly... NOT looking forward to this at all.

After all the fun of the first day we did manage to have a good time - well until the third day when my eldest Danny spent 24 hours being violently sick!!

OMGoodness. What a horrendous experience, i am so sorry. Is there anyone you can complain too. That is just out of order.

Heather, my thoughts are with you all after this traumatic experience, but especially with you and Drew. How brave you are that the kids were able to go on from this and enjoy their trip.
Fingers crossed Drew starts to get over it soon and no lasting damage has been done. Take care x x x

What a shame such a fantastic holiday had to be ruined like that!! I hope the experience doesn't remain with Drew, and that she soon forgets it!

Big hugs
